My area has really good late night pay most of the time. I sit in a parking lot where I have a taco bell, McDonalds and white castle right next to each other.
The McDonald's almost always pays the best I don't mind waiting a bit, but the problem j have multiple times per week is having absolutely no one acknowledge me.
The lobby is closed after 10pm and when I pulled up to the drive thru again tonight, I get the "welcome to McDonald's will you be using the mobile app today?" I say "no thanks this is Doordash for code ending in XXXX"
Yet it's complete silence. I'm also not one of those people who shout HELLOOOO 2 seconds after no answer. I say there for 5 minutes tonight. Drove back around to see the workers inside with headset on talking to each other. I try both drive through lanes when this happens and both the signs are lit up and this has been a 24 hour McDonalds for many years. It's the only one in the area.
This happens to me constantly. Even normal customers I watch pull up to the other lane, sit there for 5 minutes and drive away.
The worst part? Doordash support refuses to give me half pay because the restaurant is open. I tell them yeah but I can't get help from anyone and the lobby is closed.
It's always "I'm sorry sir but because the restaurant is open we cannot give you half pay, kindly wait for the order or unassign the order"
When they actually answer the orders get done pretty quickly and I get great payouts. But I don't understand why this happens multiple times a week to me and normal customers.
Has anyone else had this issue or something similar?
