What's your transportation? Also tax question

I have a tiburon gt v6 I dash with. It's not a great gas mileage car, but during the day it usually does good. I almost can never dash at night because I'm driving 20 miles round trip for $6 and that kills my gas. What do you guys use? I was debating about getting an electric or gas powered moped and installing a rack for drinks, bags etc.

Also, how do you figure out your taxes? Is there a percentage to take out? I live in PA and I think sales tax is 6%. I have no clue if that's the same tax you would take out of a check?
