dude. ok. it wasnt THAT strange but hear me out. this customers name was Black. right. no big deal but im sure you can already see some not so great directions this could go. dont worry i did not do anything racist๐Ÿ˜ญ

anyways so long story short i pulled up to the address with the order, but there wasnt a building with the address, it just took me to a parking lot with a few medical buildings, and the instructions said to leave at the door. i texted the customer and was about to call them when i saw a (white) lady looking around in the parking lot. she was somewhat old and looked kinda confused as if she was looking for someone so i decided to see if she was the customer, since obviously the customer was somewhat confused on how to have something delivered to them. i roll down my window and say, "are you Black?" only after i said that, i realized how weird a thing to say that is. so i try to immediately follow up with "Doordash?" and she interrupts and says "DO I LOOK BLACK TO YOU?" loudly. so i just drive a little bit away. delivery turned out fine after i called, but i just sat in the parking lot for about 20 minutes in embarrassment after. and then ended the dash.

lesson is, dont call old white people 'black.' i think
