I Turned A Scamming Customer In To Both DoorDash & Their Boss

Post Body

Yesterday, I had an order for a burger restaurant to be delivered to the customer’s job. I have delivered to this person once before (they have a name that is not common).

Order was “Leave At Door” but I went in because it is a business and they are typically busy. The customer saw me and since he was with his own customer, asked me to hand it to his co-worker to put in the back. I did. Everything was all good & they said bye to me. About an hour later or less, he gave me an additional $5 tip through the app & I received notification of it.

So this morning I log on and see that this customer filed a complaint that he had never received his food! I got a contract violation. I disputed it through the app and then I called DoorDash. They could see I delivered it and was early, and they could also see that he gave me an additional tip after delivery. So they removed the contract violation right then and there.

But that wasn’t enough for me. Fck that guy. I called up corporate (yes, call me Karen 😏) and I complained to a supervisor that one of their employees at such-and-such location by the name of [redacted] ordered DoorDash while on the clock and gave me an extra tip and then later complained to DD that he never received his food. I explained how I got a contract violation and could be fired for that, and that this is my only job, so it would be an extreme hardship to be fired. I also told them that it reflected poorly on their business that their employee was pulling a scam while on the clock and at their establishment. The supervisor was typing everything up and going to forward it to his direct manager.

Yeah, it took 13 minutes of my time to file a complaint with a supervisor in his corporate office, but I hope he gets a bullocking. Fck him. He shouldn’t be a dishonest prick and put people’s money in danger because he wants a free lunch.
