I was doing late night hours last night, and I received an order for one Powerade from the gas station. I thought the order was strange, and on my way to the location, I got a call from “DoorDash order”

The guy tried to tell me that the customer no longer wanted the item and that I would be credited for my time. He then text me a sketchy link at which point I became suspicious.

I drove past the location which was under construction and completely empty. At this point I just completed the delivery in the app and kept the Powerade.

When I looked up the number, it was a caller ID spoofer. He tried to call me over and over again but I didn’t answer.

Is this a common scheme to look out for??? I imagine he was going to phish my account and try to steal my money?
