I got an order from subway for $7.50/less than 2 miles so I took it. The app didnā€™t show me what they had, it was ā€œrequested by merchantā€ which Iā€™ve always assumed means they ordered through the app/website of the restaurant. I get there and the order is ready. I take it to a pretty rough part of town. It says ā€œhand it to meā€ which I think is standard on those merchant orders, not selected by the customer. I knock lightly since itā€™s 9:30pm and get no response but I can hear people inside so I call the number. A woman answers, I tell her I have her subway. She says she didnā€™t order it. I repeat her name and she says yes thatā€™s her and asks what address Iā€™m at. I give it to her and she says ā€œwait what cityā€ and I tell her Jacksonville, FL and she says sheā€™s never been here, doesnā€™t know anyone from here. Sheā€™s in Seattle. I said ok sorry and went to help. As Iā€™m on the phone a man (about 35 years old) comes out looking around (fair to wonder why someone is in his driveway) I ask if he ordered subway and he says no. If this is a scam, he should have said yes right? Maybe it was someone else in the house? Do you think this womanā€™s subway account was just hacked and the person just hoped Iā€™d leave it at the door? It wasnā€™t an extravagant order that Iā€™d expect someone to risk it for. Iā€™ve had a fast food account hacked before and they went absolutely nuts ordering $65 worth of shit. This was just one sub and a bag of chips and drink.
