A restaurant I've picked up from several times suddenly wants us to sign receipts on the customer line before giving us the food. I've had this situation before, DoorDash canceled and ended up after multiple complaints kicking the store off the app. Not sure how many of you know this... Signing that receipt is fraud. And it's against doordash policy. Don't be the idiot that keeps doing it over and over "because it's easier and I've never gotten in trouble" because you make those of us who DON'T want to risk legal problems look like jerks. Just follow the policy and follow the law, report them to DoorDash and insist on a cancellation.
Also, anyone experience issues cancelling this? These support agents are inept and she tried getting the restaurant to cancel and they refused, the customer to cancel and take the cancellation fee and obviously I was pissed about that and the customer said that was not ok, and wanted to assign rather than cancel so I take the hit. Like no give me my damn money.
(Edit: Complain that I didn't sign and try to start an argument and derail what I asked is grounds for me to laugh at you, DV, and block. Be mature. Stop ridiculing everyone you see on reddit and get a life. Go to work. Y'all forget that even though it's illegal and against doordash policy, we are all basically private business owners who don't have to do shit that isn't stated in the contract. You're also probably THE REASON I'm even bringing this up, because if it wasn't for you doing the wrong thing, these restaurants wouldn't get away with it prompting this post in the first place. So die mad at yourself instead.)
