Help! Every time I have tried to play don’t starve it never loads

I use steam and when I click play it acts like it’s about to load and then never does. I have went down the google trail on this. Klei said they can’t help me, that it must be my pc but literally every other game including some of theirs works. It’s just don’t starve and don’t starve together.
