Secret History: To see if I was really going to do more Shadow cards besides Ninja, I tried 2 Cards and " 1 Buy $2." The former turned into Ronin, the latter into Fishmonger. The smaller version seemed better because it has gameplay involving the opening turns, where it can guarantee you $5.
Fishmonger is ranked 376th our of all 488 cards.
Super helpful when you need that Buy in a pinch.
I just really wish the backs of the Shadow cards had a different color border than black. That would sure expedite finding them quickly when preparing to shuffle.
I don't know why they have a black border.
I suppose it would depend on how the print sheets are cut, and if they're worried about slivers of the different cardback migrating onto other cards.
For the games I've designed, such has never been an issue, and my printer tends to drift more than RGG's games do.
I've known plenty of mass-marketed games (Slay the Spire, for example) that have no issue with varied borders in their card design.
