Do you have a specific example of what breakage could occur?
Thank you! I wanted a kind of workshop vibe, with the implication of some sort of peddling—for the thematic similarities—and wanted something that implies size-changing.
How so? If it's the first card you play (and have no other Action cards in play), you'll always at least have the option of gaining a Gold.
If the kingdom happens to skip any costs that are less than that, you'll just want to time your playing of this accordingly.
If you'd like me to send you the updated version I'm making, I'm happy to do so. The update changes "you" to the person whose turn it is (because apparently that's what Destrier meant to say).
I never found it to be problematic, in playing Destrier literally. But I can understand why that would be confusing for players unaccustomed to multiperspectival thinking.
Toy Shop costs $5 when it's the only Action card in play.
"The cost of Destrier is reduced by me still [for me], even if it isn't for you" is exactly what results in different costs for different players.
