I consider this DV. My wife of 12 years went to the police one day in November and reported that I had raped her 4 times in the past 2 years. Most recently in August 2022. She also is heavy into BDSM and in September 2021, she asked I spank her after she was caught in an online affair. I hated it but I was trying to help her. She used that with the police as well. I got us into counseling, she wanted a spanking.

I was arrested, never questioned and they never told me what she said. I told them about the spanking and her kink. I got held on a 250k bond. They never investigated.

5 months later, my attorney finally gets the phone late last Wednesday and verified everything I was saying in a couple hours. I got released on a pta last Friday. My credit is ruined, I haven't talked to my kids since November. I have a final court date next month to formally drop the charges so I moved in with my parents until then a few states away. The prosecutor asked me to get out of the state. I think for my own safety. The mortgage is behind a few months.

I have no idea why she did this. I had no clue she was capable. A few warning signs were only obvious when I was sitting in a cell. I lost everything. I started to accept it until today when i got steamrolled all over again. It's 430 in the morning and I cannot sleep.
