I hope this question is okay!
I (18ftm) have been having issues with my breasts for over the past year and a half. At first, it was because of a medication I was on (risperidone, boooooo), and now I'm off it, I'm still having issues with nipple discharge and breast pain, but different issues than the first time around. Breast cancer does run in my family, my paternal aunt got it before the age of forty.
I went to my college's wellness center, and the NP said my breasts were "dense and fibrocystic" which my PCP told me was normal for my age, but then my aunt said that's what hers were like before she had cancer.
So, since I can't get a straight answer out of anyone, why not go to the source? My DNA.
I had my raw DNA file from 23andMe and uploaded it to the free version of Nebula Genomics, which gives you 30 free reports, and it said I had multiple genes for Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC), most of which had a 99.99% accuracy. So, I messaged my PCP back home and was like, "Hey, there's been a development."
Is there anything else I should do in the meantime? I've already contacted my aunt and asked if they tested her for TNBC because she told me they tested her for HER2 and BRCA genes but didn't have them.
Edit: i also have multiple variants of the RAD51C, RAD51D, BARD1, PALB2, and BRIP1 genes, all of which can cause TNBC. I messaged my doctor and she said "the patient portal is not for discussing medical concerns." Like, wtf is it for then??????
