Hi all,i am 28(F). 2 weeks ago my left breast started hurting and a red spot appeared on my nipple. I went in for an ultrasound and that's when o found out i have a 2 cm mass behind my nipple,i was given a BIRADS 4B and my doctor recommended biopsy.
This is what my radiologist said :
Ultrasound conclusion: Retromammillary TUMOUR-type formation. Retromamelonar there is a mass of approx. 2/2/1 cm with an irregular contour, with marginal angulations with obvious hypervascularization, relatively hard on elastography.
I was sent to a surgeon who prescribed me antibiotics,i took them 7 days but I didn't notice any good change. My mass is palpable,i felt it and my lession on the nipple was the same,it was red, then crusty, then red again and so on.
I went back to my radiologist and he said there are no changes with the mass after antibiotics,it's the same so I was scheduled for biopsy. Yesterday i did the biopsy,a needle biopsy. Now my breast hurts and my face is a little swollen. I am very anxious ,they told me to call back for results in 2 weeks,i guess the waiting is the hardest part right now. What do you think? Could this be cancer ? My surgeon told me that i could have Breast paget's disease due to my lession on the nipple or i could have IBC because it kinda looks like an inflammation there but no response to antibiotics.
Edit: I received my biopsy report (chronic mastitis) but the thing is my oncologyst and radiologist told me that I can't have mastitis,my biopsy report it's not in concordance with my ultrasound findings and my symptoms,I guess they messed up my biopsy (it's wasn't ultrasound guided biopsy). Now I'm preparing for my second biopsy and another 2-4 weeks of waiting for my results.
