My dog has what appears to be a degenerative disease. If I sign up for pet insurance, would this be a pre-existing condition?

Post Body

My dog has what appears to be masticatory muscle myositis. She was tested for this, but the test came back negative. The test sample guidelines said the sample must arrive within 3 days for accurate results. It took 5 days to get there and be processed the day it arrived so Iā€™m not totally sure it's accurate but my vet recommended a neurologist.

I am now seeing that this could all be a long term, high cost journey so I want to get pet insurance. Will this somehow be considered a pre-existing condition? The symptoms are muscle atrophy in the muscles in her jaw and the top of her head, but nothing extreme.
