I have three dogs Carolina dog mix, Plott hound, Labrador mix. They all weigh roughly the same size. Our lab is the youngest almost 2. Our lab and plott hound have become very close. They often eat together and I have noticed he will bark at her to get her to stop eating so that he can have his bowl and her bowl. I have started offering him slightly more food. Now he will wait until she finishes before he starts eating. Do male dogs require more calories?
