Hey all!

I am not a current dig owner because I'm in college and just can't afford it. That said, I'm a major dog lover, and so I signed up to walk for Rover! I just got my first walk booked with a sweet big dog (around 70 pounds) and I'm psyched to spend some time with him! It sounds like he's a well-behaved sweetie, but has a high interest in small animals like squirrels. I've spent a good amount of time with large dogs; I grew up with a family friend that bred and showed Rottweilers, so I have a soft spot! That said, I don't have a ton of experience with walking larger dogs. I'm not exactly ripped but I do feel comfortable enough with my strength to work with a dog this size. I'm super excited to start walking dogs and like I said, I have a soft spot for big ones. On Rover I don't currently accept XL dogs because I want to make sure I'm confident in handling a variety of dogs beforehand. I also grew up with a dog who was a pretty hefty guy but he was also pretty lazy and unbothered, so walking him was a breeze.

Do y'all have any tips to make this walk as successful as possible? Any input is helpful.
