Dogs seeing their parents again

Post Body

Before I begin, yes I'm aware I'm hypersensitive and overly anxious. All of this may just be overthinking.

So first, I have this guilt about separating my dog from her dog family when we got her. Not like, a grave guilt, I know this is the best for her and she was going to be separated anyway. But I'm sad when I think of when we took her; her litter and two parents were her whole world and she lost them all in the same day. I remember her two doggie parents looking through their living room window on their hind legs, watching us leave with their puppy...

I'm thinking of contacting the initial owners to ask if we can pass by when we're in the area so she can see her dog mom and dad again... maybe they would be overjoyed to see each other again for a moment ! But I'm wondering a few things. - Is this a super weird thing to ask the breeder? (They were nice but still) - the dog and her parents would recognize each other from smell, right? - Would this just cause more anxiety for the dogs from remembering that connection and then saying goodbye again once we leave?

Checking to see if someone had it happen, how did it go?
