We lost our friend Yesterday
We adopted a dog first of the year in 2019. Her name was Sophie and she was a good girl, but she was very scared. Her owner had her since she was a puppy, but she passed away. Sophie was grief stricken and terrified for she was old too at 12 years old. She was a schnauzer mix and full of love for her lost friend. After a few days with her friends neighbor who was a busy single mother and could not keep her other then in a kennel all day. We brought her home and she didnt know what to think of us as we didnt know what to think of her. Over time we grew closer and we came to understand her better. She was old, but full of life still. She loved to run and chase cats even if she couldnt quite see where they went since her eye sight wasnt great. Her favorite toys were squeaky toys since she was mostly deaf, but could hear the squeaks when she bit them. We had her for 3 years and she was a close friend. This Tuesday during her normal check up the vet told us her heart was failing and she was losing control of her body. We were recommended to put her down yesterday so with heavy hearts we said goodbye to our friend.
We love her and will always remember Grandma Sophie.
We hope Her and Her original friend are looking down from heaven together. <3Grandma Sophie
