Hi all,
My family and I (2 kids, 5 and 6 and my wife) want to adopt a Shetland Sheepdog and Chow Chow mix who is 2 years old. He's at a local shelter and we need to make the decision by tomorrow afternoon.
Little is known about him, he got picked up from the streets so no idea about where he's been the last 2 years.
My questions would be: do you think this mix would be good with two kids and would he adapt well to us at his age?
I have owned dogs as a child and teenager but I do not consider myself knowledgeable about dogs in general. We are willing to give him a lot of love though.
One more thing, we travel to visit family across the country and abroad every once in a while (not so much now, for obvious reasons). Other than that, no unique or special circumstances about us as a family.
I go to the office twice a week, otherwise, I work from home so he would not be alone much of the time.
