Unless it's a designated dog park, and or your private property your dog needs to be leashed.
"But my dog isn't reactive" ITS NOT JUST ABOUT YOUR DOG, BOZO
I know a handful of sweet babies that are reactive and they have to not only stay leashed but require a firm grip of the leash by the owner.
Its to protect all dogs, and especially yours. If your unleashed dog ends up in the vacinity of a leashed reactive dog and the reactive dog reacts it's not fair the leashed reactive dog would face repercussions due to your ignorance.
I was just at the forest preserve and this woman had her Pomeranian unleashed walking the main, busy trail. I knew behind me was a German shepherd and another mixed big dog behind him and both leashed. Are they reactive ? Couldn't tell you but it's the possibility that needs to be on the forefront. Like wtf is so hard about holding a leash.
