I work from home, so I try to set it up so that my dog gets to do some things to keep his mind occupied while I'm working. But unless you're sitting in the floor with him paying attention he's not interested in any of it. He can be happily chewing on a bone and if I answer a text or grab the remote to change the channel he becomes uninterested in what he's doing and goes to take a nap.
We've tried all sorts of bones, puzzles, Kongs, putting his breakfast and dinner in puzzles, hiding treats around the house and unless you're with him he wants no part in it.
We have babysat other dogs before, and even though he's only 2 he turns into a crotchety old man, so I don't think he'd be a good candidate for another dog.
Any advice? We go for 2 walks a day, morning and night, but in between he pretty much just naps.
