So my dog (4 year old male dachshund/ wire haired terrier mix) had his glands expressed on Saturday, and the vet said that his anal stuff was clay like, which is a first in the year we’ve been dealing with this. She didn’t seem too concerned, and told me to add pumpkin to his diet and told me to come back in 4 weeks. Is it odd that after having a different consistency he would still be scooting this long after, or could it be because I added pumpkin to his diet? Has anyone here had an experience like this?
