[Help] My dog is suddenly deathly afraid of a certain area of our backyard.

It just happened a few days ago where he is scared of going near a certain area of our backyard. Runs back into the house scared as if someone was chasing him. I have already looked through the entire area and go rid of anything that might scare him. All objects have been moved and all that is left are grass, small trees, and dirt. Anytime I try to place him in that area or try to walk him through it while on a leash he fights to leave the area. I honestly do not know what to do and I guess keep trying to calm him and show him everything is fine.
Any advise or hep is appreciated.
