My dog is a big sweetheart, but it makes him kind of a.. well, pansy. He gets submissive when bigger dogs play too rough. He is a lab/GSD mix. He’s 8 months and 60 lbs. The dogs at this dog park are seriously unsocial most of the time, at best. Straight out aggressive at worst. Twice, he has been put on his back screaming while I ran over to interfere before dogs snapped at him from above. Today, there’s a GSD who’s literally been angrily snapping at EVERY dog and I want his owner to:

  1. Address the fucking situation.

  2. Leave the dog park with a clearly dog reactive dog.

I hate how nonchalant these owners are about their dogs being aggressive - hair raised, ears tucked back, bearing teeth. I hate how I have to defend my dog every time we are here, but even though he gets bullied, he LOVES to play and I WANT so desperately for him to make local friends, but I also want my dog to be safe.

How to deal with these shitty owners? Should I start addressing them? Should I bring a spray bottle of water to break up the beginnings of fights? What should I do?
