My dream is to own a pomeranian. I'm downright obsessed with the little munchkins. So, to be fair, it's not as if I am going for a crazy intense breed at least. The thought of owning my own pom makes me so excited but also pretty nervous.

I've never owned or trained a dog or puppy (my family did growing up but I was never really involved), and I suffer from mental illness. I have no small amount of trouble keeping up with my responsibilities in life, like keeping my room clean. I do own a cat and I keep her fed and watered and clean her litter box often enough, if a little on the slightly too infrequent side. But dogs are a wayyyy different ballpark than cats obviously.

Plus even without the brain problems I generally worry about the change in lifestyle having a dog introduces. I.e., more expensive, not being able to stay away for too long without making arrangements, that sort of thing.

If anyone has found themselves in a similar position I'd love to hear from you.

ETA: I am on meds and relatively stable but executive disfunction is hard to get over even with meds :(
