It all started Sunday night. It wasn't too long after we got them a new elk antler, this one to be exact. My 2 year old dog, Theo, vomited after chewing on it (I'd say about a half hour). We thought it was something he ate or it was because he was stressed because Mona kept trying to steal it agitating him. I fed him some white rice for dinner. He vomited 2x more in the night. He was fine for the rest of the day and so on.
Fast forward to last night. My 6 month puppy Mona is obsessed with the antler and is always chewing on it. Last night after their walk she vomited up some kibble, some long grass leaves she will sneakily chew on the way back inside from our walk, and water. My fiance thought it was something she ate because he said she quickly ate something in the hallway on the way down outside. I wasn't there so I don't know what it was. After that she vomited 5 more times and it was a pink liquid. We didn't feed her dinner and she just seemed super tired the rest of the night.
Fast forward to this morning, Theo vomited up some bile (yellow). He has been fine so that is why I think it's the antler? Or maybe some stomach bug they keep getting? I have no idea. They were both at the vet 1 week ago today (Theo for eye infection, Mona for ear infection). It can't be the medicine can it? It's just ointment (Malmetazone for Mona's ear and Neomycin & Polymixin B Sulfates and Dexamethasone Ophthalmic Ointment). I'm getting concerned and wondering if I should go back to vet.
I'd appreciate any input!
