[Help] My 6-month puppy may be TOO food-motivated to train. Need some helpful tips

This sounds odd but I don't know any other explanation.

Mona is a mix of Irish wolfhound and some sort of terrier (that's what rescue told us and by the looks of her, it seems accurate).

Anyway, Mona is always on the hunt for food. She begs, will stare you down when eating, and sniffs the whole kitchen floor for crumbs after she sees someone eat. She's also one of those dogs whose eyes follow a treat or piece of food wherever you move it.

My other dog was so easy to train basic commands (sit, shake/paw, etc.). Mona, on the other hand, is not. All she does is STARE at the treat/reward when I am telling her to sit or shake. She will sit after about 5x of me repeating it, but she will sink down very slowly. She USED to give paw but it was a very slow/limp type of shake. Now it's like she's completely forgotten that command because she doesn't do it anymore. She will just stare at the treat. I even try hiding the treat in my hand and she will just stare and follow wherever my hand goes.

Any tips?? She's a tough one. I think we are spoiled by our easy-to-train labradoodle, lol.

edit: Thanks so much everyone!!! I am going to make a list of things I need to do and slowly go over them so I can get some control over this pup!
