Hello all! So, I have a seven year old German Shepard mix who has a mild issue with fleas right now. We just recently moved to a new place (we lived in our old house for 5 years and we never had issues), and these little buggers will not go away. We live in an apartment complex, so there is nothing I can do to treat outside my house, but any advice on things I can do inside my house/ on my dog would be greatly appreciated.
Since we discovered the fleas, we have tried Frontline medicine and a Sernesto flea collar (I chose these two because they were highly recommended to me by my friends that have dogs). We have also washed her about 10 different times-- a few times with regular dog shampoo, a few times with special flea shampoo, and a few times with Dawn soap. I vacuum every day, spray the carpets and furniture with home flea spray, and wash all of our blankets/ bedding/ her beds every three days.
I'm just at a loss now. I wake up in the middle of the night and hear her scratching and scratching and scratching. I'm worried she's going to pull all of her hair out/ hurt herself (she already has a few scans from her scratching certain places too often).
Please-- any of your flea remedies/ advice/ encouragement would mean a lot. I don't want my girl to be itchy and sad anymore!
