Post Body

Hi Everyone,

We are stressing out over here - a year ago we got 2 Yorkie puppy mill rescues - 7 and 8 years old, both female, both spayed, both healthy (regular checkups, etc). They are wonderful dogs and have been such a nice addition to our family except for one thing - house training. These two dogs are constantly peeing and pooping in the house, sometimes multiple times a day. No matter what schedule we put them on, there is almost always some sort of "accident" in the house - multiple times a day. We've had to remove all area rugs or other things on the floor because they have inevitably been ruined. We are getting to the point where we are considering other homes for these dogs (which absolutely breaks our heart to even consider it). We have tried everything and have no idea how to go about teaching these dogs to consistently go to the bathroom outside. It seems that if one goes, the other will notice and go as well.

We have 1 other dog, so having dogs aren't new to us. I work from home so we have very consistent feed, bathroom, and bed time schedules. The new dogs have no aversion to going outside, they do their business outside as would be expected but they seem to think they can do it inside as well. It's gotten to the point where our other dog is starting to think it's ok and has been caught having accidents as well.

As you can imagine, cleaning up messes after 3 dogs multiple times a day is extremely frustrating. The house stinks, we're constantly throwing stuff out, we can't have carpets, or area rugs, etc... We are also moving to a new house in Cctober which DOES have carpets, so we have to figure this out before then or they just have to go...

Please help! Any ideas or insight would be huge!

Thank you so much for you time.
