My dog doesn't like cars, have to take him on a road trip. Any advice?
Post Body

I'm going to my parents house. It's a 17 hour drive, and I have to do it twice in 5 days. My dog doesn't love car rides. He doesn't throw up, or cry or act out, he just pants, a lot. Sometimes he slobbers, but not all the time. He used to be on acepromazine for long car rides, but he hasn't been properly tested for heartworm, and he's been off his heartworm medication for almost a month, so I don't feel comfortable giving him the ace.

Just wondering if you have any advice on making him more comfortable for the ride, and don't worry. When we return, he will have his yearly. :)
