So my friend and I frequent a flea market, about every Sunday. When we go, she always wants to look at the "CKC Registered puppies!", and I don't. I hate seeing these little babies in tiny cages, terrified out of their minds.
When I tell her it's awful, people shouldn't buy them, because they're basically supporting these horrid conditions, and places they come from, she says the way she see's it is, "selling these puppies is someones lively hood, it's their income. You're choosing an animals life over a persons."
I guess I am? I just feel it's wrong to basically, in a way, abuse animals, who can't stick up and voice for themselves. Should I say being a prostitute is OK, because it's their way of life? No, this person is not a person worthy my respect or my time, thus I choose the animal, every time.
I don't know if this all made sense, but it has been agitating me the last few days.
