getting a third dog
Post Body

hi! so i was considering getting a third dog. i signed up for facebook and saw this local rehoming group. a girl was looking to rehome her dog because she works too much, leaving the dog very little time to be out of the crate. i was looking for anybody who has three dogs to give me some advice. what it’s like, is it really much different from having two dogs? i’ve been putting a lot of thought into it these past few weeks and thought it’d be good to hear from someone with experience. thank you so much😊

Man it is exhausting. To be fair the 3rd is a puppy so I can’t go anywhere without him, even at 7 months he’s too attached so I can’t really leave him so I basically have a new born child lol. But if it’s a couple years old that should be much easier. I’d see if you can do a doggy play date and see how well they mesh before making any final decisions. It is a lot of work, especially taking them out to go potty at the same time or going to the groomers all at the same time. It’s a huge commitment but if you have a lot of time on hand at least in first few months of transition then do it! I’m exhausted but I’d never go back haha. One side note tho is idk your living situation but it makes it 100x harder to find a place that will take that many pets
