Why are dog breeders priced so differently?

Post Body
Iām thinking of getting a toy poodle and after going through the AKC website, most breeders are in the 2 to 5 thousands but there are some that are around 700 or 500. Are those the breeders to watch out for?

Yup, agree with this. A high quality breeder spends time effort, energy, and money to make sure their litters are top notch both in health standards and breed conformation, while doing preemptive testing to make sure that undesirable genetic traits are reduced.

All of this OP. They charge higher prices because they have a reputation for high quality puppies.
