My Wife and I live in an apartment. We have a four month old male lab and a one year old female husky. They have bad separation anxiety. They are both crate trained. Whenever My wife and I would leave and we keep the dogs crated, they whine and scream for a while and our neighbors have put in noise complaints. I’ve gotten two e-mails from my landlord about it and they’ve talked about “further discussions” if it continues, whatever that means. Since then, we’ve tried to let them free roam(bad Idea for their age, I know), but then we come home to everything in the apartment torn up, but no whining( at least, no more complaints). Since we don’t want to come home to a ruined apartment every time we leave them at home, we end been taking them with us in the car whenever possible. But we can’t always do that. I’ve heard Benadryl can be used for dog’s anxiety, but I’m not sure about that. Does anyone have any advice?
