there’s this dog in an animal shelter near my family and he’s an absolute cutie and i’ve fallen in love with him. he is perfect however when we talked to the volunteers, they told us that when taken out for a walk he was jumping up and biting the volunteer’s jacket. she said that it’s possible it might lead to a bite in the future.
my family and i are worried that if we do adopt him and take him for a walk, that what she said will end up happening. she said it’ll take persistent training, but we’re first time dog owners, and we want to teach him not bite however we don’t have enough experience to know how to.
so i’m seeking advice here if it’s alright. if anyone could point me to any resources or help guide me on what to do i’d really appreciate it
