Gloves to wear while grooming?

I have a horrible cuticle/nail biting habit as a result of anxiety. I've been working as a groomer but I fear infection as a result of working with animals. I was hoping someone would have ideas of some safe gloves that allow for the maneuverability required for grooming. Bonuses for being water-resistant for bathing, but that's not required. Thanks for any ideas!
And, for what it's worth, I am in treatment for the habit, I just need something to help in the interim. :)
