I need desperate help. My Husky retriever mix gets extremely thick coat in the winter and a very short coat in spring. Itās spring. He has always shed starting near his mid section and then out. It is quite a difference. I canāt brush him out to help though because he just gobbles his hair as fast as he possibly can. Itās a fight to brush, grab flying dog hair and fend off a dog trying to eat said hair. He is terrified of the vacuum and honestly just about everything unless itās after my landlords sheep. What can I do? Iām pretty sure he will fight a muzzle with everything in his power but I fear thatās my only route. I have tons of brushes, gloves etc and Iām not fast enough to gather his hair before he eats some of it. I worry this will lead to blockage. He looks TERRIBLE though. Itās been six years of just fighting over dog hair. Iāve paid people to try and help gather the hair with me. Please help. Iām so tired of the fight. I worry about taking him to a groomer because he is just genuinely terrified of most things and i donāt know how thatāll translate to his favorite āsnackā flying around with the stress.
