I want to know why you boarded the rocket and am tipping 10 doge for the first 10 people to post their story in this thread.

Instructions:

• Go to http://redd.it/2058b3 and post your story. One-liners do not count -- I want some details! At least one paragraph for the doge, but more would be highly welcome.
• Come back here and let me know you've done it to claim your doge!

If anyone wants to contribute to this giveaway (by tipping below, not here) then I will extend beyond the first 10 up to the full amount donated (plus my original 100 doge). At the end of the week I will divide up the remainder among all storytellers.
