Hey shibes,
Great news! The Alpha test of Dogecoin Core 1.7 went smoothly and the team has been able to iron out issues and add back some stuff from older versions.
Changelog
- Translation fixes
- Fix payment URI prefix
- Added testnet seeds
- Added back the "-change" option
- Added back context menu entry to show transaction on dogechain.info
- Upgrade to OpenSSL 1.0.1g
- Added back the logo in the wallet. With custom option by putting a dogecoin.png into the data directory
ATTENTION
This version runs on the production network by default. That means, you will handle real Dogecoin with it. So, if you run it, your current wallet will be loaded. We have been testing this for some time now and everything works as it should for us. Still, you should backup your wallet.dat (Which you should be doing anyway ;) ).
Also: As previously noted, a wallet.dat started on this version is not compatible with any previous version. The same holds for backups you create from within the wallet. So in case you want to go back to 1.6 you should backup by starting 1.6 again and use its backup function.

Mac
Build is done, but we have to wait for it to be signed. Should happen soon I hope :) As soon as we have it, it would be good to have someone on OS X 10.6 test it. For final, we'll have all plattforms ready at launch day of course :)
Mac build added to download link! Have fun Mac shibes :)
Running on a new wallet
If you want to test on a different wallet, you can run the Core with
-wallet=<file>
where file is a .dat in your data directory.
