I've got a 2013 Dart. Over the last couple years I've run into an intermittent electrical issue where the vehicle wouldn't start. Obviously, with it being intermittent, it being at my local mechanic and it happening at that time was luck of the draw.

Finally got lucky, if you will today. Apparently the ignition switch for the Dart runs through the circuit for the radio. When I turn the ignition, the signal the switch sends is getting off (to put it simply) at the radio instead of going to the engine. This leads to the vehicle not starting.

Has anyone else had this issue? If so, what am I looking at cost wise if I can avoid taking it to the dealership?
