A question about the audiobooks and accessibility.

Hey!

So short explanation, I have auditory processing disorder (APD) and in my case this means I struggle to hear things properly, processing audio takes a fair bit of concentration and energy (and I will still miss things/misunderstand things) and I rely on subtitles where I can.

I've been a fan of doctor who for the majority of my life, read a ton of the novels, watched a ton of the show. Pretty much the only medium I've not been able to consume is the audiobooks.

If you've been following the stories that have been releasing, especially for Victorious, a large majority of what is coming out are audiobooks without a novel counterpart. It's just audio. And a lot of it is seemingly important lore information as well or just generaly good fun stories.

There is the wikia, and I have been using that to keep up to date on the actually pretty important lore that they seem to be addicted to dropping into random audiobooks, but it's not the same as actually being able to experence the full story.

I've tried looking this up a ton, but I feel like I'm alone with this issue? I just found out now that audible attempted to have a captions service on their audiobooks but was almost instantly shut down by publishers, one of the few times I've seen amazon do something 100% fantastic for accessibility. But, the shutdown wasn't exactly suprising.

I'm also not asking for a pirate version of these, I'm so desperate for these stories that even if they made them into novels and sold them at like £40 each limited edition, you bet I'd be first in queue to pick up every single book. I'm looking for something official or licensed, or a way to get them to notice this issue.

Please, someone let me know that I'm either not alone with this fustration or that there is some kind of solution.

TLDR; I have APD and would love a solution to being able to consume the audiobooks.
