This is half prediction/half hope.

I hoped the Doctor would travel alone for most of next season, but that is not the case. Some of my favorite episodes with this Doctor are the ones without Clara, but as long as the new companion changes the tone I'll be happy.

He'll eventually arrive back at Gallifrey, having regained his memory of Clara throughout the season. Clara also returns in order to finally die. She will have been traveling with Ashildr and we will see some episodes with only those two.

Turns out the prophesy was actually about Ashildr, a human-mire hybrid. The Doctor and Clara team up one more time to stop her. They succeed and the episode ends with Clara returning to her death by the Raven. That is what I'd like to see, but they could have it so they save Clara someway in the process of stopping Ashildr.
