Everywhere is SH*T in the NHS. Worst of it all is A&E.

I've been burned by my department and burnt out from the rota.

My health deteriorated over the last 2 years And im being skipped over for promotion (they said no when I applied for a speciality doctor position) and now that I was diagnosed by occupational health with shift work syndrome, they've stopped me from booking locums. Most recently, I got emergency laparotomy, so im out of commission for a few weeks.

I guess it's apparent that im not even worth a second thought to these guys. It's not gonna be any different anywhere else. So im just going to look for a teaching job somewhere quiet and just quitely transition out of medicine and build my own software company.

My question is Im currently at an MT04 trust grade when it comes to salary. Im hoping they'll move me up to MT05 in September. Do these pay scales transfer, or am i gonna go back to CT1 salary if i chose a different department in a different trust 🤔
