Do we get paid for residual annual leave after finishing a post?

Post Body
I’m finishing a junior clinical fellow post in the next couple of weeks to start at a different trust and I’ve got some residual annual leave from this trust. I initially asked them if we get a payout for unused leave and they said no, but I did some googling and there is different information out there.
Does anyone have any experience of this/ have any sources that I can send my trust to persuade them that they should be paying me for this.
Thanks in advance
