I can't decide between gp/A&E/Anaesthesia/Infectious diseases (I know I need to join imt for this)
I loved a&e but after 2 years in an sho post I'm struggling to see how I will do 6more years of this. Especially when the situation in NHS is only going to get worse
Heard some good things about anaesthesia but I don't know how my work life balance will be and I've heard there's fierce competition to get higher training.
Infectious disease I'll be honest I haven't done much research into this but I'm keen on pursuing this as a career. (maybe not in UK though)
Finally GP. The easy way out (just kidding I'm aware of this fallacy) but 3 years in and out with little to no nights and a consultant level pay after 3 year. I could deal with a crap that I might have to deal with if it meant I could work as a GP spl interest in one or two of above specialities.
If my post triggered anyone or is inappropriate please don't get mad just let me know and I'll take it down
