Question on how to take my meds

I 22M went to the doctors earlier for consultation and he gave me oral medication, and told me to take twice a day.
Now my question is: How should I take them? Do i take them after eating or is it okay even on an empty stomach?
I forgot to ask my doctor about this or he might have said smth about it and I somehow forgot.
