How to setup jwilder proxy with daphne
Post Body

I'm wandering how to configure nginx to serve both gunicorn (working right now) and daphne for websockets.

The issue I have is when setting up both gunicorn and daphne behind nginx with acme-companion, the http requests get sent to daphne and the websocket to gunicorn. I set them up identically with

- VIRTUAL_HOST=domains
- VIRTUAL_PORT=8000
- LETSENCRYPT_HOST=domains

I've tried two things:

  • Use a different subdomain for websockets but i get no logs from daphne and the websockets connection fails client-side.
  • Started daphne only and not gunicorn for testing and http requests work fine but still no feedback from websockets
