Container writes to read-only mounted volume
Post Body

Hi there. I've got a container running r/jellyfin. My /media is mounted as a read-only volume (/media:/media:ro). Docker inspect clearly states it has no write permission. Despite that, it occurred that the jellyfin service was able to write to that said volume (.nfo files). What's wrong here? As the container is running as root, the files got created as root:root (rwrr).

Here's the answer to why this happens: https://www.reddit.com/r/docker/comments/d83fp7/subfolders_of_readonly_volume_are_writeable/f18ldrg?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x
