Background: one of my current players' PCs in our D&D campaign, Serena, is basically Asmodeus's daughter. And she has amnesia. It makes sense in-universe.

More background: last session, the party saved Serena's adoptive pirate mom but weren't able to save her pirate ship.

This session starts with Adoptive Mom saying she can't help much with the party's quest to cure Serena's amnesia. But she confides in Serena that she's sad and lonely now that her ship is gone, and kind of wants to get laid to distract herself. Serena is like EW MOM NO.

So naturally Adoptive Pirate Mom picks the butchest and femme-est members of the party (Jaspar and Cricket) and has a threesome with them.

They spend the rest of the session trying and barely succeeding at keeping Serena from figuring it out. Meanwhile, the fourth PC, Reggie, figured it out *immediately* upon seeing the other two in a hallway with Adoptive Mom and spends the session trying to keep his mouth shut.

WHILE THIS IS HAPPENING, Asmodeus shows up in Serena's cabin (they're on an airship) and is like hey, I heard you wanted your memories back? I can do that! And when Serena asks why, he cheerfully tells her he wants to do it because he knows it will cause her pain, and it will make her do something stupid. So she says yes, and he gives her back her memories, and she remembers the love of her life, Peregrine.

Asmodeus, of course, immediately tells her Peregrine is in Hell, being tortured by Serena's vengeful Real Mom. Have fun with that!

So now the party needs to figure out how to get to Hell. They discover that, for plot reasons, they need really powerful magic, Wish powerful. (Ordinarily they could just Plane Shift but the campaign is actually set in Eberron and it's a big deal that Asmodeus and Serena are even here.) They find some leads on where they might get something like that, but they're tenuous leads and they have limited time.

Naturally Asmodeus shows back up and says, I can cast Wish every single day! I'll yeet you to Hell and back if you do the rescuing yourself. And his price is that Serena helps him out when he conquers the world in a little less than a year. (That's more plot.)

She has a long think with her party, who tenderly inform her that as much as they care about her, this would be a bad deal to take, and they can't place one person above the world. And she acknowledges that.

Then she calls up Asmodeus, says it's a deal, and that she wants to go right now. Her friends go WHAT THE HELL and angrily say "WELL YOU CAN'T GO ALONE" and that's how they end up in Hell.

At which point Jaspar punches Serena really hard and yells "I FUCKED YOUR MOM!"
