So this just happened last night, but I still found it entertaining.

Context: a Gnome artificer battle Smith riding on his defender duting a relay race through a desert town, ala need for speed style. No killing, maiming, or injuring during nthe race, but racers could use any tactic to get ahead.

So he heading through sharp turns and obstacles, while also trying to distract or slowdown two other racers (one on a mount and the other a monk on foot). They were heading into the home stretch, when my artificer decides to get desperate. He jumps off his defender to try and stop the monk from climbing and jumping over boxes since the monk is faster then the defender by a large margin.

The gnome uses his last spell slot for shield to essentially stop the monk mid-air and let his defender keep running. It works, slowing down the monk enough for a literal photo finish, with the defender just coming out on top. It was wacky, crazy, and reminded me of Mario kart and speed racer.

I think it took more brain power and quick thinking then player was comfortable with, and was always asking what he could and couldnt do. But otherwise, it was a fun little event and it culminated into a rave of a dance party. Cant wait for next week.
